* Curious about Mysore Ashtanga and traditional yoga? I encourage the use of props and modifications to support all levels of practitioners but also promote non-dependency. I support students to experience the internal forms of the postures as a way of directing them towards the correct and organic external form of the pose. Therefore, I teach Ashtanga in the method of my root teachers, Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor. I work with students one-on-one, at the pace appropriate for them. The pace of class is catered to your needs at a student and your evolution as a practitioner and is as much a dialogue as it is a direct transmission of knowledge and method. My spacious approach to the practice respects both lineage and the cutting edge of postural inquiry (props and application of physiological knowledge) to support your growth as a practitioner. My students range in age from early 20s-mid 60s. Ashtanga is for everyone, except the lazy. All you have to do is be at the studio by 7am and you'll be receiving all the benefits of a private yoga lesson at a drop-in price. Still curious? Please read this FAQ and send me an email before dropping in if you have never been to a Mysore Style practice or are new to ashtanga.
